Stephen Rannazzisi, a dynamic actor and comedian, has captivated audiences with his wit and humor across multiple platforms for years. Known for his portrayal of "Kevin," the League Commissioner on the hit series "The League," Stephen showcased his flair for comedy, playing the responsible yet often exasperated member of a fantasy football league. The character of Kevin, who was the first in the group to dive into marriage and parenthood, added a unique charm to the show by paralleling Stephen's real-life experiences and infusing them with comedic exaggeration. Born and raised in Long Island, New York, Stephen discovered his passion for performance early on. He pursued this passion at the State University of New York at Purchase, where he majored in Theater and Film. After college, a brief stint working at the World Trade Center was cut short as Stephen decided to chase his dreams on the West Coast. Upon moving to Los Angeles, Stephen found an early career foothold as a doorman at the iconic Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard. This venue became his training ground, where he honed his comedic skills alongside industry legends like Eddie Griffin, Joe Rogan, and Andrew Dice Clay. His commitment to the craft also saw him refining his character acting and improvisational talents with The Groundlings School and Troupe. Stephen's break came in 2003 when he was spotted by Ashton Kutcher during a performance at the Comedy Store, leading to his casting on MTV’s "Punk’d." His knack for comedy shone through in his role as a smart-ass cast member, earning him national recognition. This led to further television success with roles such as the wise-cracking best man "Skobo" on ABC's "Big Day" and starring opposite Heather Locklear in "See Jayne Run." In addition to his television roles, Stephen has appeared in feature films, further broadening his acting portfolio. Notably, he played opposite Eddie Murphy and Thomas Haden Church in "Imagine That," and starred as the manager of a Pen store in the comedy "Paul Blart: Mall Cop," alongside Kevin James. Stephen's versatility as a performer is also evident in his numerous guest appearances on popular TV shows, including "Kitchen Confidential," "Sex and the City," and "Third Watch." His comedic prowess has been showcased on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend," as well as in films like "Summer of Sam" and "For Your Consideration." Stephen Rannazzisi continues to entertain audiences through his live stand-up performances, television roles, and feature films, solidifying his status as a beloved figure in the world of comedy. His journey from Long Island to the sunlit stages of Los Angeles serves as an inspiration to aspiring comedians and actors alike.
