Rob Little’s outlook on life can be summed up in two words: Pure Optimism. Born in Detroit, Little developed an upbeat philosophy from a young age. Even as a child, when classmates would playfully snatch food away from him with taunts like, “Let go of my sandwich!” Rob’s positive spirit and infectious humor were already in bloom. This natural inclination towards finding joy and spreading laughter became the cornerstone of his life and career.
Despite beginning his professional journey in a secure position as a computer programmer for IBM, Rob’s comedic talent and passion for making others laugh couldn’t be contained. In a bold and defining moment, he sent out an all-company email with the encouraging mantra: “If you aren’t happy here, quit your job and follow your dream.” Though it cost him his job, this fearless gesture was the catalyst that launched his career in comedy.
Rob Little has since established himself as a comedy powerhouse. Leveraging his training from the world-renowned Second City Comedy Club, he crafts routines that are inventive, spontaneous, and utterly unique. He quickly gained national recognition with appearances as a sketch comedy player on "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" and "Last Call with Carson Daly." His comedic talents have graced a wide variety of television shows, including “Strictly Sex with Dr. Drew,” Comedy Central’s “Distraction,” Fox News, and SiTV’s “Latino Laugh Festival.” He even earned a spot on CBS’s summer hit series, “Fire Me Please.”
Rob headlines comedy clubs and colleges across the country and has appeared in national television commercials. His second comedy DVD/CD, “Haulin’ Ass,” serves as a testament to his growing influence in the world of comedy. Little’s dynamic presence and radiant energy have entertainment bookers and audiences alike dubbing him as "The Future of Comedy." His achievements have garnered multiple accolades, with the Detroit Free Press naming him Michigan’s “Best Up and Coming Comedian,” and his designation as a finalist in both the Seattle and San Francisco International Comedy Competitions.
He was also a feature performer at the Chicago Comedy Festival and the Boston Comedy and Movie Festival, and in 2007, he was honored as Maxim Magazine’s “Real Man of Comedy.” Rob Little’s stature—both literally and figuratively—is immense. “Yeah, I’m big, and all my relatives are too,” he quips, “Heck, we just got our family portrait done by aerial photography. And there are only three of us.”
In every performance, Rob brings a grin on his face, a gleam in his eye, and a passion for comedy that resonates with audiences far and wide. He truly is one of the biggest forces to hit the comedy scene in a long time.
