Mo Amer is an Arab American stand-up comedian, actor, and writer renowned for his work with the comedy troupe "Allah Made Me Funny." Born in Kuwait, Amer fled to the United States as a refugee in 1990 during the Gulf War. After a long journey, he became a U.S. citizen in 2009. He currently divides his time between New York City and his hometown of Houston, Texas.
