Mark Normand is a prominent comedian, cherished within the New York comedy scene for his sharp wit and engaging comedy style. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Mark had an unconventional childhood filled with shooting short films and overcoming childhood quirks. He embarked on his comedy journey shortly after college, and swiftly made his way to New York City to immerse himself in the vibrant stand-up world.
Mark's comedy career features an impressive array of accomplishments. In 2011, he was named one of Comedy Central’s Comics To Watch at the New York Comedy Festival, and quickly gained recognition by being featured in Esquire’s “Best New Comedians 2012,” Splitsider’s “Top 10 Up and Coming Comedians on Each Coast,” and Time Out New York’s “21 New York Comedy Scene Linchpins.”
In 2013, Mark's comedic prowess was solidified when he won Caroline’s March Madness competition, triumphing over 63 fellow comedians, and was voted Village Voice’s “Best Comedian of 2013.” The following year, 2014, proved to be a milestone as he reached the semi-finals on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, premiered his Comedy Central special, The Half Hour, and released his debut comedy album "Still Got It," which made it to Laughspin’s 10 Best Comedy Releases of the year.
