Luenell, a dynamic force in the world of comedy, acting, and singing, hails from the small town of Tollette, Arkansas. Despite its modest population, Tollette gave rise to this remarkable talent who would go on to captivate audiences nationwide. Luenell discovered her passion for acting at the early age of ten after witnessing the plays "South Pacific" and "Ain’t S’posed to Die a Natural Death." This newfound passion led her to pursue theatre classes from grade school through college, honing her craft at the Oakland Ensemble Theatre. In March 1995, Luenell faced a personal tragedy with the passing of her mother. Just a month later, she learned she was pregnant and soon welcomed her daughter, Da’Nelle, into the world. Luenell describes Da’Nelle as her "miracle child" and the joy of her life. However, life took a challenging turn when Luenell was sentenced to 365 days in jail for a series of bank-related indiscretions. This tumultuous period in her life saw her serve just over four months of her sentence. Emerging from this chapter with renewed determination, Luenell's career began to soar. Her breakout role as the "hooker with the heart of gold" in the 2006 comedy blockbuster "Borat" earned her recognition across both mainstream and urban audiences. Her collaboration with Katt Williams on a two-year tour and the subsequent DVD release of "Katt Williams American Hustle" garnered her a dedicated, almost cult-like following. The year 2012 proved to be remarkable for Luenell, as she appeared in three #1 feature films: "Think Like A Man" alongside Arielle Kebell and Meagan Good, the animated hit "Hotel Transylvania" with Adam Sandler, and "Taken 2" featuring Liam Neeson. She also shone in the comedy "That’s My Boy" with Adam Sandler and Leighton Meester. On the small screen, Luenell made appearances on shows like "The Middle" and "It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia," and showcased her stand-up prowess on "Snoop Dogg's Bad Girls of Comedy" on SHOWTIME and "Stand-up In Stilettos" on the TV Guide Network. Embracing her dream and embracing life’s ups and downs, Luenell has become a comedy powerhouse. Her unique blend of humor and resilience has earned praise such as being likened to a "comedy demolition machine" by EURweb, a "sidesplitting high-wired act without a net" by Scoop LA, and having "comedy to die for" according to Metro LA. Recognized as one of the top 25 funniest people in LA by Los Angeles Magazine, Luenell's reputation as a comic superstar shows no signs of waning as she continues to entertain and inspire with her incredible talent and tenacity.
