Josh Sneed is quickly making his mark as one of the top comics in the industry. After leaving a comfortable day job with Procter & Gamble to pursue his passion for comedy, Josh has made significant strides in the world of stand-up. His talent has seen him open for renowned acts such as Dave Chappelle, Dane Cook, and Lewis Black.
In 2004, Josh was honored to perform at the Just For Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival as part of the "New Faces of Comedy," a prestigious recognition for emerging comedians. By 2006, he had added a 30-minute special to his repertoire, “Comedy Central Presents: Josh Sneed,” which debuted in March 2007 and continues to air, showcasing his unique comedic style. He also placed 6th among more than 2,000 contestants in the Sierra Mist/MySpace Stand-up or Sit Down Challenge that same year.
Josh's career continued to rise in 2007 when Comedy Central selected him to perform at the inaugural South Beach Comedy Festival. His performance at the Aspen Comedy Festival drew accolades from Punchline Magazine, further cementing his reputation as a significant comedic talent.
In 2008, Josh achieved a significant milestone by finishing 2nd in Comedy Central’s Annual Stand-up Showdown, out of 100 top comedians. This success led to a deal with Comedy Central Records, resulting in the release of his well-received comedy album on September 30, 2008. The album was celebrated by critics and was chosen by iTunes as one of the Top 10 comedy albums of the year.
Josh has also gained recognition in the national comedy circuit, making regular appearances on "The Bob & Tom Show" and opening for members of “The Blue Collar Comedy Tour” in large venues across the United States. With his sharp wit and engaging delivery, Josh Sneed continues to make audiences laugh and is undoubtedly a rising star in the comedy world.
