John Caparulo began his stand-up comedy career in Northeast Ohio in 1997, quickly becoming a favorite among audiences with his sharp wit and unique delivery. After graduating from Kent State University, he made a bold move by leaving a job patching potholes to pursue comedy on the West Coast. There, he juggled a job working the door at the iconic Comedy Store and cutting grass at a local golf course while honing his comedic skills. Caparulo's big break came at the 2003 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, where his performance caught the attention of industry executives, leading to a sitcom deal. This opportunity allowed him to focus on stand-up comedy full-time, bringing his blue-collar work ethic to the stage and performing nearly every night of the year. Over the years, Caparulo's career has flourished. He has made multiple appearances on "The Tonight Show" and was featured in his own half-hour special on "Comedy Central Presents." He became part of the "Blue Collar Comedy: The Next Generation," with a one-hour special airing on TBS. His involvement in Vince Vaughn's "Wild West Comedy Show," released by New Line Cinema, showcased his talents as he toured the country alongside other stand-up comedians. Caparulo’s hosting duties included the CMT series "Mobile Home Disaster," and he became a regular on the popular E! show "Chelsea Lately." In May 2008, John recorded his first one-hour DVD, "Meet Cap," which was released in April 2009. His journey from Ohio to the heart of the comedy scene in Los Angeles demonstrates that you can indeed achieve your dreams, even if you're not an early riser.
